AfricanFootball’s multimedia journalist Kola Daniel has been named as Nigeria Sports Journalist for 2016.
At an impressive ceremony in Lagos Friday night, Kola Daniel bagged the prestigious Sports Journalist of the Year award in the television category.
“I am humbled and honoured by this recognition,” Kola Daniel said as he was accompanied to the awards night by his equally proud parents.
“This again shows that hard work pays and I hope to continue to aim for greater heights in a career I so much cherish.”
The Ogbomosho-born journalist began his career in 2004 and he has worked for various media houses including Independent Television (ITV), Channels, AIT as well as HOT FM Abuja.
He is a big and credible voice in the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL).
He has a great drive for digging out exclusives and enjoys a wide-range of contacts at home and abroad.
His watchword is – “News is even much more important than the air we breathe.”
