Afriyie Acquah home debut for Sampdoria this weekend has been delayed after their Derby della Lanterna clash against Genoa was rained off on Sunday.
The Ghana international was named in the starting line-up to face their Genova rivals but the Stadio Ferraris pitch was waterlogged after the downpour.
The game was set to kick off at 19.45 GMT last night, but referee Gianluca Rocchi held two different tests and the ball simply was not bouncing or rolling.

The Lega Serie A has now decided to reschedule the derby for Tuesday February 24 at 17.30 GMT.
As a result of this, Sampdoria’s Week 25 match with Atalanta has been moved from Saturday February 28 at 17.00 GMT to Sunday March 1 at 14.00 GMT.
