Ghana midfielder Afriyie Acquah is willing Sampdoria to finish their Serie-A season strongly in order to qualify for next season’s Europa League.

The 23-year-old starred in the side’s impressive 4-1 win away to Udinese on Sunday where he got on the scoresheet.

The win sees Sampdoria climb just within a point of Europa League qualification with three games to go.

il Doria next face Lazio at home in a match that holds a lot of significance to their Europa League qualification ambitions.

The Ghana international however wants his side to sustain the new gained momentum from the win at Udinese to finish the season on a high.

“I’m very happy with this result, especially because I scored my second goal in the Serie A,” Acquah said after the win over Udinese.

“I must thank all of my team-mates. Now on Saturday we have an important match against Lazio and if we win, then we make it to Europe. I hope the stadium is full.”
