In preparation for the upcoming African Cup of Nations, Burkina Faso's national football team, the Etalon, is actively enhancing its readiness, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.
The team, having secured their place in the tournament, is set to engage in a pre-AFCON competition alongside DR Congo and Nigeria.
Announced by the federation on Tuesday morning, Burkina Faso is scheduled to land in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, on December 29th, 2023, marking the commencement of their participation in the preparatory competition.
Following this, the team is slated to depart for the AFCON venue in the Ivory Coast on January 10th, 2024.
Burkina Faso's notable AFCON achievement dates back to 2013, where they clinched the runner-up position, trailing behind Nigeria's Super Eagles.
As they gear up for the tournament, the Etalon aims to replicate or even surpass their past success on the continental stage.
Burkina Faso biggest success is the first runner up to Nigeria in 2913 in South Africa.
