AFCON 2023: Palancas Negras get rewards for last 8 qualification, more to come if they beat Super Eagles

The Palancas Negras of Angola have continued to receive different gifts after reaching the quarter finals of the African Cup of Nations, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

Angola defeated Namibia 3-0 to reach the last 8 of the tournament for the third time at the Bouake Stadium on Saturday after 13 years.

This feat has elicited gifts and rewards from well meaning Angolans and more rewards are expected if they beat the Super Eagles of Nigeria in the quarter final.

According to Angop.ao, Banco Angolano de Investimento (BAI) rewarded the team with five million Kwanzas (over 5 million naira) each, to be deposited in their respective bank accounts, this Monday, other institutions also expressed their views on this perspective.

The president of the Board of Directors of UNITEL, Aguinaldo Jaime, assured the players and technical team, through a call to striker Gilberto, the offer of a mobile phone (iPhone 15), calls, SMS and free internet during a year.

Besides, the team were promised of more rewards if they beat the Super Eagles in the quarter finals.

Banco Keve promised to give the Players $9,600 each if they beat Nigeria while Angolan diamond company, SODIAM EP promised to give the team $250,000 if they beat Nigeria.

Nigeria and Angola go head to head in Friday, 2nd February for a place in the semi final.
