Equatorial Guinea goalkeeper, Jesús Owono, has issued a determined pledge to thwart Nigeria's prolific striker Victor Osimhen, along with his formidable teammates, in their highly anticipated Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) encounter on Sunday, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.
The Equatorial Guinea shot-stopper expressed his commitment to stopping not only Osimhen but other formidable players.
As both teams find themselves in Group A alongside the host nation Ivory Coast, Owono aims to play a crucial role in securing a positive result for Equatorial Guinea in their opening match.
“I will do my best to stop Victor Osimhen and the other Super Eagles players in order to get a positive result in the first match.” Owono told the press.
