The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has revealed that Stanley Nwabali, who sustained a ligament injury during the Super Eagles' quarter-final clash with Cameroon, may still be available for the upcoming quarter-final against Angola, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.
The 27-year-old goalkeeper will undergo a crucial fitness test on Wednesday to determine his readiness for the match.
In a statement, the NFF expressed hope, stating, "The doctors have been working on him to see if he will come good in a late fitness test 48 hours before the cracker with the southern Africans,” reads the statement.
“Fingers crossed. If all goes well, he might be available for selection.”
Meanwhile, William Troost- Ekong and Victor Osimhen are the other players reported to be of furthers concern ahead of the Friday encounter.
