Ghana coach Avram Grant has praised the Black Stars for their impressive performance in the 7-1 victory over Mauritius on Sunday.
Captain Asamoah Gyan and his striking partner Jordan Ayew both scored a brace after Christian Atsu got the opener for Ghana.
Mauritius then pulled one back from Sophie J before Jeffrey Schlupp and David Accam scored their first international goals to give Ghana a 7-1 win.
And coach Avram Grant says has stated that he is excited because his team played according to the game plan which was to kill off the game in the first half and start the qualifying campaign on a strong note.
“We played good football especially in the first half. That was our target, to kill the game in the first half to show there is a difference between the two teams not on paper but on the pitch,” Grant said at the post match press conference.
“And the players did a good job. We could have scored more goals but I am happy.
"Of course in every game we can do better but the most important thing is to continue in the atmosphere and the spirit we played in the African Cup.”
Ghana is currently on top of their group with a superior goal advantage over Rwanda who beat Mozambique 1-0 in the other Group H match played on Sunday.
