Ghana FA spokesman Ibrahim Sannie Daara has revealed the immense worth of experience of Fatau Dauda is the main reason why he continues to be involved with the Black Stars.
The 30-year-old’s recent call up to the Black Stars has been met with intense opposition due to his lack of regular playing time with AshantiGold.
This has led to beliefs that call ups to the Black Stars ceases to be on merit with many question marks hovering over some players handed invitations by coach Avram Grant.
But GFA spokesman Ibrahim Saanie Daara in explaining the reasons behind Dauda’s call up says his experience having been with the national team over an extended period appears to be working in his favour.
“Three years or so ago we were all singing the praises of Fatau Dauda,” Daara said on GTV’s Sunday Night Live.
“He has not been all that bad. In every human endevour, you fall on difficult times.
“But there is a feeling within the technical team that Fatau [Dauda] is in fact the most experienced person amongst the goalkeepers in camp and that is vital.”
