AFCON 2015: South Africa coach names starting XI to face Algeria tonight in Group C

Coach Shakes Mashaba has named his starting XI for Bafana Bafana's opening 2015 African Cup of Nations encounter against Algeria in Mongomo on Monday.

Darren Keet will start in goal for South Africa having sat on the bench in the warm-up matches in Gabon leading up to the finals while Dean Furman will captain the side having given Andile Jali the armband in the 3-0 win over Mali last week.

Anele Ngcongca and Thabo Matlaba will occupy the fullback positions while Thulani Hlatshwayo will partner Rivaldo Coetzee in defence with Erick Mathoho suspended for the clash.

Jali and Furman will continue their blossoming partnership in midfield with Oupa Manyisa and Thuso Phala offering width to the attack.

Sibusiso Vilakazi will be out to continue his goal scoring touch, the Bidvest Wits man will slot in behind the hard working Tokelo Rantie as Bafana Bafana look to upset the Fennec Foxes.
