AFCON 2015: Kwesi Appiah wins Man of the Match in Ghana's win over Guinea

Striker Kwesi Appiah was named Man of the Match in Ghana’s 3-0 win over Guinea their Africa Cup of Nations quarterfinal clash on Tuesday. 

He scored on his first competitive full debut.

The on-loan Crystal Place profited from a horrible clearance by the Guinea defence to slot home the second goal just on the nick of half-time.

Appiah also played a part in the opening goal which was scored by Christian Atsu.

The 24-year-old collected a pass on the touchline and cut neatly before picking out Andre Ayew inside the box whose back heel found Atsu.

Atsu then netted an absolute worldy when he drilled a long range effort from the touchline on the flank into the

    He works hard by chasing down opponent strikers before they get pass the half line into our half of the pitch. Jordan Ayew can learn to that from him, not just jog and watch the player go. That SouthAfrica goal will not have resulted had Jordan done just that. Congrats Akwasi on your full debut. well play!

    We don't need sulley and kelvin boateng any longer in our team. They are the reason for so much indiscipline in the blackstars and lack of performance.
