"Guinea are a very strong team technically, with lots of quick players in attack. Just as in every game we tried to stop them from playing their game and play ours.
"Our first goal was very good and the third goal was fantastic from Atsu. I don't know if he meant it,"
The Black Stars went ahead in only the 4th minute, after Chrisitan Atsu, on loan from Chelsea to Everton, converted a clever backheel from Marseille's Andre Ayew.
Grant's side went 2-0 up just before half time when Kwesi Appiah latched on to a terrible defensive clearance to slot home Ghana's second, before Atsu made the tie safe on the hour mark with an extraordinary goal.
Cutting in from the right hand side, the former Porto man looked up and unleashed a fierce, dipping strike that flew into the Guniea net.

Ghana will now meet surprise package Equatorial Guinea in the semi finals on February 4th, with Ivory Coast or DR Congo being their potential final opponents.
