Former Black Stars goalkeeper George Owu, has tasked Razak Braimah to cease the opportunity given him in today’s game against Equatorial Guinea to vindicate his selection.

Braimah, 27, has been Ghana’s first choice goal-keeper in the on-going cup of nations, beating off competition from experienced Fatau Dauda and Ernest Sowah to land the prestigious starting slot.

The SC Mirandes shot-stopper is however yet to fully endear himself to the Ghanaian populace who have criticized his timing and some of his decision making in games.

But Owu says today’s game against Equatorial Guinea is the perfect opportunity to silence his critics.

“Razak to me has been good so far but truth be told he hasn’t been tested a lot,” Owu told Accra based Happy FM “He has to work on his timing and a little bit of his decision making and he will be fine.

“The game against Equatorial Guinea is a big game and a perfect opportunity for him to excel.”

The winner of the second semi-final between Ghana and Equatorial Guinea will face Cote D’voire in the final on Sunday.
