Ghana international goalkeeper Adam Kwarasey had perhaps one of his worst moments in his short MLS career when he conceded an easy goal that cost Portland Timbers in their loss against Seattle Sounders in the biggest derby in the MLS on Sunday.

It started with a Seattle throw in that came to to Andy Rose, who cracked the first shot in the 77th minute.

Timbers goalkeeper Adam Kwarasey dropped to block it, but the rebound, he said, took a "weird" spin and he lost track of the ball.

That's when Sounders forward Clint Dempsey ran through to tap the ball, which was rolling around the goal line, into the net.

Kwarasey described the goal as a rare situation which occurred and cost his side the points.

"I can't find it and it's basically on the line," Kwarasey said.

"It's been kind of the rhythm or the melody of this season so far. We play well and we can't kind of score the opening goal and win the games," Kwarasey said.

"Instead we end up either with a draw or a loss. We just need to keep working and hopefully the luck will turn."
