Acting Governor of Nasarawa State inspects the remodeling being done at Lafia Stadium

Dr. Emmanuel Agbadu Akabe, the acting governor of Nasarawa State, called at the Lafia City Stadium on Friday to inspect ongoing renovations, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

The Governor's scheduled visit was to check on the progress of installing artificial grass on the stadium's football field.

He was in the company of the State Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, Amb. Lucky Isaac Yargwa, and other Management Officials of the Ministry, the Acting Governor for the inspection.

Dr. Akabe had discussions with Engr. Peter Ajila, the Project Manager of Reform Sports West Africa, the company contracted to renovate the playing turf who briefed the governor on the level of work done and when work will be completed.

There were commitment by the government to ensure that all that is needed for the completion of works will be provided.

On the part of the Reform Sports West Africa, they promised to get the stadium ready in two weeks time.
