Italian giants, AC Milan are keen on signing Nigeria forward, Victor Osimhen on a permanent deal from German club, VFL Wolfsburg.

According to Italian online news outlet, Tuttomercatoweb, the former European champions have turned their attention to Osimhen after being priced out of their move for Gerard Deulofeu and Yannick Carrasco

The website hinted that negotiation is already going on between Milan and Wolfsburg with the intention of taking the young striker to the former.

Milan recently signed Polish forward, Krzysztof Pi?tek from Genoa and are looking to add more firepower to their attack with the acquisition of Osimhen who is also being courted by other clubs in Europe.

Osimhen, 20, is currently on loan at Belgian club, Sporting Charleroi where he has hugged the headlines for his goal scoring prowess

The young forward has netted 10 goals in 20 appearances for Charleroi this season.

Osimhen came into limelight after starring for the Nigeria U-17 team – the Golden Eaglets, who won the 2015 FIFA U-17 World Cup in Chile. He won the Golden Boot and Silver Ball awards at the competition.

The striker signed a three-and-a-half-year deal with Wolfsburg in January 2017 but struggled to hit the ground running at the club due to loss of form and injuries.

He has been capped three times at the international level by Nigeria.
