AC Milan have identified Union Saint-Gilloise midfielder Adem Zorgane as a possible option as they begin planning for life after Luka Modric.
Modric, 40, could leave the Rossoneri at the end of the season, prompting the club’s directors to assess several potential replacements in midfield. According to Tuttomercatoweb, Zorgane is among the players being considered as Milan look to strengthen and renew that area of the squad.
The 26-year-old Algeria international has continued to build his reputation during his time in Belgium, with his performances for Union Saint-Gilloise attracting growing interest across Europe. A move to Italy would represent another significant stage in his career.
Zorgane remains under contract with Union Saint-Gilloise until 2029. Transfermarkt values the midfielder at 12 million euros, meaning any approach from Milan would have to take account of both his long-term contract and the Belgian club’s position.
For now, Zorgane is one of several names on Milan’s shortlist rather than an established transfer target. The club are gradually preparing for the possibility of Modric’s departure while assessing the qualities required in his successor.
Milan will soon play their second UEFA Europa League match against RB Salzburg.
