Non-league side, Ahudiya Nnem FC, has eliminated fourth-placed Nigeria Premier Football League side, Abia Warriors, from the Abia State FA Cup, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.
It ended 1-1 at full time, but the Abiriba-based club won 3-1 via penalties to reach the final of the Abia State President Federation Cup at the Umuahia Township Stadium.
Innocent Godwin gave the hosts the lead at the stroke of halftime, but Ahudiya Nnem FC restored parity in the 62nd minute of the game to take the tie straight to penalties.
At the penalties, the amateur side triumphed 1-3 and recorded a second win over the Warriors in the same competition just like they did in 2023.
