Ghana striker Abdul Majeed Waris finally made his return from a long-standing injury lay-off by coming off the bench to play for Trabzonspor in their 5-1 win over Mersin in the Turkish Super League.
The 23-year-old enjoyed his first playing minutes since December by coming off the Trabzonspor bench in the 78th minute to replace opening goal-getter Mehmet Ekici.
Waris' return to action will come as good news for Ghana who could use him for the upcoming interna5ional friendlies.
He missed Ghana's AFCON 2015 campaign due to the injury.
