Super Eagles head coach, Jose Peseiro has revealed the 41 players that could representing Nigeria at next year’s Africa Cup of Nations in Côte d’Ivoire, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.
Regular suspects like Napoli striker, Victor Osimhen, AC Milan forward, Samuel Chukwueze, Alex Iwobi, Ola Aina and quiet a few inform players made the long-list.
To the surprise of many, the manager on the list, also has GD Chaves midfielder, Kelechi Nwakali, Emmanuel Dennis and injured OGC Nice striker, Terem Moffi.
New faces like Royal Antwerp midfielder, Alhassan Yusuf Abdullahi, Chippa United goalkeeper, Stanley Nwabili and recently called up players like Nathan Tella, Jordan Torunarigha, Kelvin Akpogunma, Victor Boniface with few many others.
The 41-man list only has three homebased players. Christian Nwoke of Sporting Lagos, Obaogie Amas of Insurance and Enyimba’s Olorunleke Ojo, all of whom are goalkeepers.
The list, expected to be trimmed to final 23 man list with for extra standby players will be submitted on or before January 3.
