Former Rangers International and Heartland FC coach, Kelechi Emeteole has away early Wednesday morning in India.

Emile, also a onetime Nigeria international who also later served as Super Eagles assistant coach died at the age of 66 years. Emeteole, a defender during his active days and fondly called Caterpillar, was diagnosed for throat cancer and was scheduled to undergo surgery in March with several Nigerian players rallying support for his medical bills. Completesportsnigeria.com gathered Wednesday morning, that the surgery did not go on as he was too old to undergo a delicate throat surgery of that nature, a family source revealed. The media officer of the Super Eagles, Toyin Ibitoye tweeted the sad news early Wednesday morning. "Gone but can never be forgotten. Former @NGSuperEagles assistant coach, ex Heartland FC, Rangers International FC coach Kelechi Emeteole is dead."
