Dream Team VI Coach, Samson Siasia has raised concerns over the challenges of getting players in camp for the team with 4 days before the deadline of the submission of the squad list.
Siasia expressed worries that none of the 30 players invited have been given leave by their clubs to join the coaches in camp which is at the moment ‘ virtually camp’ and he and his assistants have been wiping up names they hope to send to the Nigeria Olympic Committee (NOC).
Siasia warned that only early preparations could help the country do well in the Tournament though he admits the Group B pairing was a fair bargain.
Nigeria get their campaign in Rio off on August 4 against Japan at the Amazônia Arena in Manaus. The Dream Team VI will complete their group stage campaign 6 days later with games against Sweden ( 7th August) and Colombia ( 10th August).
