3 Referees get suspended for poor game management

The Nigeria Referee Association has come hard on three referees in the Nigeria Women's Football League, NWFL following poor officiating during the three matches they have been in charge.

The referees and three assistants were suspended indefinitely and have been asked to face a panel of the Referees Committee to explain some questionable decisions taken during officiating.

The referees were found wanting in the following matches:

Osun Babes Vs Delta Queens.

Adamawa Queens Vs Nasarawa Amazons

Rivers Angels Vs Delta Queens.

The news was disclosed in a press release by by the Secretary of the NRA on Monday, the 16th of January 2023.

It stated that three Centre Referee namely Joy Ogunboye from the Ondo Referee Association, Beatrice Paul from the Taraba Referee Association and Olufunke Adesola from the Oyo Referee Association were all suspended indefinitely.

While Assistant Referees Suspended also are Olusi Kikelomo, Ajirotutu Esther all from Ondo State, Elizabeth Yunusa Gombe and Wurba Bwulli Ruth from Plateau State, Rofiat Abdulrasheed and Aladenika Adetutu from Oyo and Ondo respectively.
