Nigeria's head coach Eric Chelle has announced two late changes to his 23-man squad ahead of the crucial 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Lesotho and Benin Republic, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.
The changes were necessitated by injuries to key players.
Zaidu Sanusi from Porto replaces Bright Osayi-Samuel, who has been ruled out due to injury, while Christantus Uche, a Crystal Palace midfielder, joins the squad, replacing Cyriel Dessers, who is also out with an injury.

The Super Eagles face Lesotho on October 10 at the Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane, South Africa, before hosting Benin Republic on October 14 at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo, Nigeria.
Nigeria currently sits third in Group C, trailing leaders Benin Republic and second-placed South Africa by three points, following a three-point deduction handed to South Africa.
With these changes, Coach Chelle hopes to guide his team to victories in the upcoming matches and improve their chances of qualifying for the 2026 World Cup.
