The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has selected Nigerian referee Joseph Ogabor to officiate the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying match between Tunisia and Comoros, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

The encounter is scheduled to take place at the Stade Olympique in Tunis on Friday.

Ogabor, a seasoned FIFA-badged referee and lecturer at the University of Calabar, will be assisted by his compatriots Samuel Pwadutakam and Abdulmajeed Usman Olaide, who will serve as first and second assistant referees respectively.

Fellow Nigerian Basheer Salisu has been appointed as the fourth official, while Senegal's Fatou Gaye will serve as the referee assessor for the match.

Last month he handled South Sudan v South Africa and the CAF Confederation Cup match between Manema and Petro De Luanda.

The CAF appointment underscores Ogabor's reputation as a reliable and experienced referee.

The match kicks off on Friday at the Stade Olympique in Tunis.
