The Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) has secured a new broadcast deal with the Nigeria Television Authority (NTA), marking a significant development in the league's history, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.
The partnership will see NTA broadcast live matches from the 2025/2026 season, starting with the encounter between Ikorodu City and El Kanemi Warriors this Sunday.
NTA will air 10 live matches every week, providing nationwide coverage.
The NPFL's previous deal with StarTimes was dissolved after two seasons due to poor patronage and unsustainable financial returns
The deal is seen as a boost to the league's visibility and accessibility for fans across the country
