The 2023 DNC Unity Cup has officially kicked off with Umuagha Team B grabbing their first three points of the tournament after they defeated Nkwokwu Team A 1-0 in the group A opener.
The encounter which took centre stage at the Central School Eziama-Obiato, Imo State saw the Umuagha Team B began their campaign on a bright note with a hard fought 1-0 win.
In the second match of the tournament which will be between Ezioha Team A Vs Umuagha Team, it will be by 4:00pm at the Central School Eziama Obiato Pitch, Owerri, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.
The 2023 DNC Unity Cup, which is organized by the DNC Sports management under the leadership of Engr. Chima DNC is using the tournament to celebrate the 10 years anniversary which is in honour of Ex-Super Eagles forward, Emmanuel Emenike, with a hosts of Sports and global stars' been part of the competition.
Dignitaries includes Super Falcons and Paris FC Shot stopper, Chiamaka Nnadozie and former Super Falcons captain Desire Oparanaozie are all the big names to grace the tournament.
The final of the DNC 2023 Unity Cup will be played on December 30, 2023.
