Leicester City utility player Jeff Schlupp is delighted to have scored his first goal for Ghana after the Black Stars hammered Mauritius in their 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier over the weekend.
Schlupp scored his first international goal for Ghana as they beat Mauritius 7-1 in an Africa Cup of Nations qualifier in Accra on Sunday.
City's Young Player of the Year and Players' Player of the Year scored the sixth goal during the rout.
His performance and goal has attracted lots of positive comments from the fans and the Ghana defender says he is grateful for the good wishes.
"Thanks for all the messages people! So happy with my 1st international goal for @ghanafaofficial doesn't get much better than that," Schlupp wrote on Twitter.

Schlupp is expected to be part of Ghana's squad for September's Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Rwanda in their second Group H qualifier to be played in Kigali.
