Ghana central defenders Jonathan Mensah and John Boye arrived in Kigali on Wednesday night ahead of the Black Stars’ Afcon 2017 qualifier against Rwanda on September 5 at Amahoro Stadium.
The duo flew in direct from Europe having played no part in Ghana’s 3-2 win over Congo Brazzaville on Tuesday evening following a late Jordan Ayew injury time winner.
The rest of the squad comprised of 22 players and a 22-man delegation including Ghana FA president Kwesi Nyantakyi are expected to arrive in the Rwandan capital on Thursday afternoon.
The team will stay at the Kigali Serena Hotel and will have their first training session on Thursday evening at the Ferwafa turf and will train at the venue for Saturday’s game on Friday evening.
Ghana leads Group H with three points ahead of Rwanda on goal difference with the former having walloped Mauritius 7-1 in Accra while Amavubi defeated Mozambique 1-0 in Maputo.
The high profile game will be live on SuperSport channel 9.
