2015 All Africa Games qualifier: Zimbabwe's Mighty Warriors fly out on Wednesday to face Black Queens

Zimbabwe's Mighty Warriors will leave on Wednesday afternoon and head to Accra to face the Black Queens on Saturday for the women’s All Africa Games (AAG) qualifier. 

Head coachRosemary Mugadza's named a strong 18-man squad for the difficult assignment.

ZIFA spokesperson Xolisani Gwesela confirmed the travel itinerary while speaking to the association’s official website, www.zifa.org.zw

“The Senior Women’s team is set to leave Harare international airport aboard an Ethiopian Airlines flight on Wednesday at 1315 hours via Addis Ababa where they will land seven hours later (2015 hours) at Bole Airport.

“On Thursday morning, the 26 member delegation will connect to Accra, Ghana, leaving Bole Airport at 0830 and arriving at 1120 hours,” Gwesela said.

Battle hardened Mighty Warriors like skipper Felistas Muzongondi, Chido Dzingirai, Marjory Nyaumwe, Rufaro Machingura and Under 20 Captain, Mavis Chirandu are all in the squad.

The ladies are expected back in the country on the 24th of March to prepare for the return leg.

The eventual winner over the two legs earning a place at the games to be played between September 4 and 19 in Brazzaville, Congo this year.
