Ghana was held to a goalless draw in their opening group game of the 2015 All Africa Games against Senegal on Sunday.
The Black Meteors were unable to get the winning start they so much desired despite a clearly attacking line up put out by coach Malik Jabir.
Jabir started the game playing to strikers with Ebusua Dwarfs’ Richard Gadze partnering Bright Adjei of Tema Youth.
The Ghana U23 side also had the explosive Kennedy Ashia in an advanced midfield role to augment the side’s striking options.
But the team was still unable to hit the back of the net likewise their Senegalese opponent.
Both teams will now share top spot in Group B on a point each ahead of next round of matches.
Nigeria, the other Group B contestant were rendered inactive on Matchday One following the withdrawal of Egypt.
Ghana will next play Nigeria on Wednesday in the next group match.
