Tunisia coach George Leekens is tipping Algeria to win the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations which starts on Saturday after the two sides played out to a 1-1 draw in a friendly last night.

Spain-based defender Liassine Cadamuro had a mixed day as Algeria drew 1-1 with Tunisia.

Osasuna defender Cadamuro - who was cut from Christian Gourcuff's provisional 26-man squad before being handed a reprieve when Essaid Belkalem withdrew due to injury - headed his side into the lead in the 38th minute in Rades.

However, the 26-year-old was sent off just three minutes later, and Tunisia took immediate advantage by equalising through Wahbi Khazri's stunning free-kick before half-time.

Following the performance of the Algerian side, Leekens says Algeria are capable of winning the title of the tournament to be played in Equatorial Guinea.

"Algeria is in the hardest group in this competition but they’re able to qualify and to win the title in the end," Leekens said.

Both managers would be looking to use their notes from the game to improve their teams performances at the AFCON.

Both managers had already named their full squads for the tournament, which will take place in Equatorial Guinea between 17th January and 8th February.

The tournament draw saw Algeria placed in the group of death alongside Ghana, Senegal and South Africa, while Tunisia were drawn alongside DR Congo, Cape Verde, and 2012 champions Zambia.

Les Fennecs will open their campaign against South Africa on the 19th of January, while the Carthage Eagles face Cape Verde on January 18th.
