2015 AFCON: Ghana absentees Essien, Muntari, Boateng and Kwarasey go silent on Ghana's campaign
Michael Essien and Sulley Muntari after Ghana's 2014 FIFA World Cup game against the USA

Suspended Ghana duo Kevin-Prince Boateng and Sulley Muntari have surprisingly refused to pass any comments on Ghana's AFCON campaign in Equatorial Guinea.

AC Milan midfielder Michael Essien who was overlooked by head coach Avram Grant is yet to officially comment on the team's campaign as well as Adam Kwarasey who, according to Ghana FA officials failed to respond to call-ups.

Ghana opened their campaign on Monday evening with a 2-1 reverse against Senegal in Mongomo and must now work above themselves to quality out of a Group C that also comprises South Africa and Algeria.

Essien and Muntari had been integral part of the Ghana squad prior to the chaotic 2014 FIFA World Cup campaign which caused Muntari to coup suspension while Essien's international fate appears to be in limbo.

Muntari is officially on suspension along with Schalke 04 midfielder Kevin-Prince Boateng since they got sacked from Ghana's team during the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.

Kevin Boateng is known on social media to have always expressed his backing for the team during times that he was out of the national team has failed to comment on the team's campaign and seems to be focusing on his training with Bundesliga giants Schalke who are on mid-season training, tweeting; "That 2 times training mood".

Kwarasey has not used his Twitter since January 13 and has not officially said anything about the team's campaign.

Nana, i'm quite disappointed in your statement! How can you compares Ghana to Zambia...? For how long do you want us to be patience to these wicked and unreasonable FA!?! Being at finals is not the same as you have won the trophy! We the people of Ghana football means so much to us than any other thing! Pls, some of you are making some to be comfortable too much even though they keeps on failing!!!

GSN what do you want the players to say. It is our foolish GFA that is distroying our national team out of greediness.

Leave these players out of the politics, GSN. Our inability to progress on a wide array of fronts stems from our inability to harness our God given resources for our own good. These players still have something to offer but our administrator's "big manism" is the problem. Trying to show people where power lies will not win us much.

Ghanaians stop blaming GFA for everything , they played and lost, what does that have to do with GFA? . The players were not forceful enough. U want a "white" coach like they are magicians and there u have it, it doesn't matter how good a coach is, u need the players to play well and they didn't . Go get Jose Morinho and they will still loose. The players need to play well and ready to deliver for the nation.

I Personally think that until this current GFA is been desolve, Ghana will never taste any glory as far as football is concerns. these FA are ruin our football. They have manage to take the excitement from our soccer! Ghanaians should wake up! Some of this soccer meant so much to to us! How con you put aside all your current best players aside go to tournament with players like Atsu and Bady who are not in any good form and yet expect them to do well?

Stop blaming the GFA you said? What is the managing body then? NFA? or ZFA? I'm as mad as a madafucker.. We understand Sulley is serving indefinite suspension: but what is the reason for not calling Essien and Kwarasey who are more experienced than this U20 boys? We don't even have a fixed formation. Playing try n error and changing setups in every single game. Today is Boye and Brimah. Tomorrow Amartey n Dauda. All because some incompetent fools in the FA think they know what is best for the country. And you stand here to ask y we are blaming GFA? Who should we blame? God? Or our parents? I'm tired of feeling Black Stars is a weak team. Now you have Zambians, South Africans and Nigerians.. even Ugandans speak bold to Ghana because we have our fingers in their mouth..

Sometimes it saddens me very well dat am even a ghanaian,i ponder why dis FA will spend so much money on dis our blackstars and yet they dnt deliver, watchn the match very carefully there is not jst a single player who shows a sign of dying for da nation.look at da senegalese, every department of the team was willing to die a little for their nation.infact watchn black stars match nwaday has become very hard for the nation who is in a very deep economic woes and i think games like dis will at least let one forget a little abt what is going on in dis country.what else do u GSN want kwarasey, muntari and essien to say, look at what da fA and da management did to kwarasey and yet u want hm to come back, some people in ghana here ve taken da blackstars as their personal properties and eats from it at anytime they want.it is the time all ghanaian must wakeup and sack dis FA and their ways of handling gh football.

Why do we point fingers n call ppl by names whn things go bad? Which of us has not fail in life before? The issue with the blackstars is all of us our fault, we are too impatient n we talk too much. For Zambia to win it took them yrs to prepare. Let give the managers time to organise a formidable team then we could do something gr8t. With the suspended players we don't need, we got to 2010 finals without them, the shame they bring is more than their contributions. I believe in the boys and we will qualify.......LONG LIVE GHANA.....LONG LIVE BLACKSTARS........SHAME TO OUR MOCKERS..

Nyantakyi is the reason we are failing? When it came to international matches which helps to improve the mystic we always have in Africa football, you need to put all this power grab nonsense aside to go for the national pride. We are loosing our invincibility that KWAME NKRUMAH help built. Now any measly country wants to talk trash to us because we have not been producing since the 90s. This is all due to this idiot at the helm of GFA Nyantakyi, who has reduced the Black Stars to a mere minnows.
