West Ham boss confirms Moses' availability for Super Eagles AFCON qualifier
Victor Moses

Super Eagles forward Victor Moses will be back soon will thrill Nigerian fans ahead of crucial Afcon 2017 qualifiers this month.

The winger missed Saturday’s clash at Everton but is back in training on Monday. Even better, he could make the trip to Old Trafford next week. Considering the international break comes afterwards, the Super Eagles will need all hands on deck to beat Egypt.

West Ham boss Slaven Bilic gave his update. “Victor Moses and Enner Valencia should be back for the cup game against Manchester United."

Moses has been plagued by injury in recent times, but news that Nigeria has recalled him will be welcome. This month’s crucial AFCON double header against Egypt will be his first national run out after more than a year from international football.

Team coach Samson Siasia recalled Moses along with Aaron Samuel while selecting fresh players in the mould of Fanendo Adi, Umar Aminu and Stanley Amuzie, for this month’s games.

The 42-man list which has 22 players from the domestic league with 20 pros from abroad does not reflect any radical change from the squad Nigeria presented in the last six months.

Moses and Samuel did not play under Sunday Oliseh during his eight-month tenure as Nigeria coach.
