"We can do better" - Lionesses coach dissapointed after Falcons loss but believes his side can still qualify for the World Cup

The Indomitable Lionesses of Cameroon's head coach , Gabriel Zabo has expressed his disappointment over his side's loss against Nigeria.

The Lionesses lost 1-0 to the Super Falcons of Nigeria in the quarter-final game at the ongoing 2022 African Women Cup of Nations in Morocco.

The result means they are out of the competition and will have to go through a repechage game to secure a place in the World cup playoffs.

"We still have a playoff to play and we will show another beautiful face.

"In terms of the result, I'm very disappointed because we can do better but at the level of the content there is a progression and we are satisfied," he said.

Cameroon will face Botswana on Sunday in the repechage game and a win will qualify them for a playoff round of the World Cup.
