Reports in Lubumbashi claim Ghana winger Solomon Asante is a subject of an intense transfer target for an unnamed Belgian club.

Asante is in his third year with Congolese giants TP Mazembe and has started both the domestic and continental campaign in stellar form.

He has three goals and two assist in five games in the league.

The former Berekum Chelsea man is however likely to be playing his last season in Lubumbashi as reports over a possible departure continues to gather steam.

“We are aware of increasing interest in Asante due to his consistency both in the league on the continental stage,” Manager Patrice Crateron told Lubumbashi based Radio Afrika

“Most of the interest is now coming from Belgium but that is for team to access what is best for us.

‘’But he remains one of our prized assets so we are monitoring the situation.

“At any point we are going to look at what is good for the club.”

Asante has also been a member of the Black Stars squad which finished second in Equatorial Guinea but one made a cameo appearance in the competition.
