Ghana will be without Patrick Asmah for the first knockout round of the 2015 FIFA U20 World Cup due to suspension.

The 19-year-old received a second booking at the tournament in the 1-0 win over Panama on Friday morning.

Asmah has played every single minute of Ghana’s campaign so far at the World Cup in New Zealand.

His solid defending and occasional surging runs upfront will be sorely missed by the Black Satellites when they play at the Round of 16 stage.

Sellas Tetteh’s side progressed to the knockout stages as winners of Group B with seven points after three group matches.
