U-17WWCQ: Flamingos speak confidently ahead of second leg clash with Liberia

Nigeria U-17 women national team has expressed full confidence in securing the World Cup ticket as they play Liberia in the second leg of the World Cup qualifiers in Abuja on Friday, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

The Flamingos players spoke in turns in preparation for the game expressing unshakable trust in the team to defeat their Liberian counterparts.

Peace Effiong and Oghenemairo Obruthe stated that the team is physically and mentally ready to win the game which will ensure a World Cup ticket in Dominican Republic this year.

"We are very very ready to play this game. I want to let everybody know that we are ready and believe in us 100 percent that we are going to make everyone proud and the three points is assured, said Effiong.

She stated further "they can threaten us. We 100 percent determine and tactically sound."

For her part, Obruthe is optimistic of the team getting the win despite the threat their opponents may pose.

"I believe that it is going to be a very good game. It might be a bit difficult, but I know we are going to push through because we are very ready physically emotionally and mentally we very ready and once we get that ticket and know that we are going to go harder and harder."

Meanwhile, the duo of Shakirat Moshood and Ramota Kareem believe with Nigeria having a 4-1 lead from the first leg, the Liberian side will not come back to win the tie just like they did after turning around their first leg loss against Senegal.

"They can't make any comeback even one goal they will not score be ause we are fully prepared and we have the determination to win the game, Kareem enthused.

The second leg tie will be played  on Friday in Abuja as they seek to capture the World Cup ticket for the seventh time.
