Super Eagles coach, Sunday Oliseh, has said that the national team will defeat Swaziland on Friday night to honour the memory of Shehu Abdullahi’s father, who passed away on Wednesday.

Abdullahi Dinawa has since been buried according to Muslim rites, after battling illness days leading up to his death.

“We,as a team, feel Shehu’s pain.We pray God rests his(Shehu’s father)soul and comfort Shehu and others he left behind,” Oliseh said, according to the Super Eagles official Twitter page.

“The team now has extra motivation to win this evening, here in Swaziland as a mark of honour for Abdullahi Dinawa.”

União da Madeira defender Abdullahi Shehu made his debut for the Super Eagles main team in an international friendly against Democratic Republic of Congo last month.
