The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) said the Super Eagles trained late last night in Alexandria ahead of tonight’s AFCON showdown against home team in Egypt.

Eagles spokesman Toyin Ibitoye said the team trained for about an hour at the Borg El-Arab Stadium.

“It was an enjoyable training, which was to have lasted about half an hour, but the boys so enjoyed themselves that it went on for an hour,” Ibitoye disclosed.

Monday was a rather long day for the team as they set out on a two-hour bus ride from Kaduna to Abuja before they boarded their chartered flight, which was delayed for two hours.

The flight to Egypt lasted about six hours.

Tonight’s match will kick off by 6pm Nigerian time.
