Super Eagles Stars Mourn Victims Of Plateau Killings

Super Eagles players have mourned the victims killed during attacks on Gashish district of Barkin Ladi Local Government Area of Plateau State on Sunday

At least 86 persons were confirmed killed by suspected herdsmen.

With the Super Eagles gearing up for their crucial game against Argentina in Saint Petersburg on Tuesday, John Ogu, Wilfred Ndidi and Leon Balogun expressed their displeasure at the killings via Twitter and urged Nigerians to pray for the victims

“Please everyone wherever you are pls pray for plateau.#PrayForPlateau ??,” Ndidi tweeted.

John Ogu tweeted: “#PrayForPlateau. They need our Prayers!!????

“#UnitedWeStandDividedWeFall ??,” Balogun tweeted with a picture of a candle mouring the victims.

Meanwhile, President Muhammadu Buhari has vowed to bring the killers to book.

“The grievous loss of lives and property arising from the killing in Plateau today is painful and regrettable,” he said.

“My deepest condolences to the affected communities, we will not rest until all murderers and criminal elements and their sponsors are incapacitated and brought to justice.”
