The Solid Miners survive a heated encounter to beat AY Doma 4-2 at the Lafia City Stadium on Monday.

Musa Musa had put United ahead after 3 minutes of action following a dominating display as he pounced on a rebound before Ikechukwu Nnam drew AYD level with a powerful header on 34th minute.

Chinedu Ohanachom made sure Nasarawa United led at half time with a ferocious left footed strike 8 minutes later.

But AYD will later equal score from the spot on 76 minute after United's match-day captain, Manga Mohammed, fouled an AYD attacker which was converted by Abubakar Allazi.

Anas Yusuf brought back the Solid Miners back into the lead with a cheeky ball into the back of the net 2 minutes later.

Before substitute, Habibu Alakija consolidated victory for Nasarawa United with his goal on 80 minute of the game.

With the win, Nasarawa United will play the winners between FC Basira and City Rollers FC of Nasarawa Local Government Area in the second Semi-Final on Tuesday, 26th March, 2024, to clash with in the final slated for Saturday, 30th March, 2024, at the Lafia City Stadium.

The finals will give the Solid miners another opportunity to seek to reclaim the title that they lost in 2023 to FC Basira.
