The Nigeria Football Federation Technical Committee, has said that the appointment of coach Samson Siasia, Emmanuel Amuneke and others after the resignation of Sunday Oliseh was to ensure the Super Eagles get right direction ahead this month's 2017 African Nations Cup qualifier against the Pharaohs of Egypt.

Speaking with the Guardian yesterday, a member of the NFF Technical Committee, Christian Chukwu noted that the coaches are experience enough to assemble a formidable squad that will surmount the North African side.

He however, called on football followers to stop castigating the coaches selected for the tie, saying that they are on emergency mission.

The former Harambee Stars of Kenya coach, also added that the committee was waiting for the coaches to send their programme for the match against Egypt saying that it would enable the team commence early preparations.

He also called on Nigerians to continue backing the Eagles in their bid to get the Nations Cup ticket.

"I don't understand why some people are castigating some coaches selected to handle the Super Eagles game against Egypt. Siasia and Amuneke still remains the coach of the U-20 and U-23 teams.
