Serie A Feminine: Echegini's brace help Juventus beat Inter Milan

Published on: 15 February 2024

Nigeria Super Falcons attacking midfielder, Onyinyechi Echegini was the heroine as Juventus got the better of rivals, Inter Milan in the Serie A Feminine on Wednesday night, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

Echegini scored 2 goals in the first half to help Juventus to a 2-0 Derby d'Italia win away from home at the Arena Civica Gianni Brera.

Her first goal came in the 7th minute after she initiated a fine build up which led to a cross by Maëlle Garbino which was perfectly headed in by Echegini.

The second goal came seven minutes later in similar fashion as another Garbino cross found an onrushing Echegini who made no mistake to tap the ball in.

Juventus held on to the win despite the home sides push for a goal in the second half. A win that keeps their second spot in tact after 17 matches.

Echegini has now scored 4 goals in 6 appearances since joining the white and black team in January this year.
