Sam Allardyce Looks to Make Norwich Defender His First Crystal Palace Signing

Published on: 29 December 2016

"?New Crystal Palace boss Sam Allardyce is reportedly interested in making Norwich defender Robbie Brady his first signing for the Eagles.

According to the "?Daily Mail, the former England manager has made the left side, especially left-back, his priority and sees Brady as the man to fill that role.

Republic of Ireland international Brady can play anywhere up and down the left side as well as forward positions.

Brady's versatility could prove crucial as Wilfred Zaha is set to be selected for the Ivory Coast for the upcoming African Cup of Nations.

Zaha has been vital for Palace this season scoring three goals as well as proving a constant danger for the opposition.

The 24-year-old's decision to change alliances and to represent Ivory Coast will surprise most, however it was reported that the winger was growing frustrated at not being given a chance for England.

With Papa Souare nowhere near a return to action it will be interesting to see if Allardyce makes more than one signing for his left hand side.

Allardyce tends to bring in players from former clubs, but whether he'll be calling on former players remains to be seen.

Big Sam will be looking to maintain his record of never being relegated from the Premier League and there is no doubt he won't think twice about bringing in players. It will be interesting to see if he has to sell in order to buy.
