Super Eagles lost lost to Guinea

Soccer fans in Rwanda are still in shock following the home-based Super Eagles exit from the African Nations Championship.

The Eagles who came third at the last edition of the African Nations Championship in South Africa failed to make it beyond the group stage in Rwanda after going down to a 1-0 defeat to Guinea in their last group game on Tuesday.

And the majority of the local fans are sad to see their darling team exit the competition so early.

“It’s sad that I won’t see my beloved Chikatara in the competition again,” Elvis Milanbe, a proud supporter of Sunday Oliseh’s charges, told Completesportsnigeria.com.

“I love the Nigerian team and I was hoping that they would play Rwanda in the final,” Clarisse Averio, a business in the Kivoyo area of Kigali also re echoed Elvis thought.

“Nigeria, Nigeria, Nigeria, my darling team after the Amavubi. I can’t still believe they lost the game against Guinea.

“You could see that majority of Rwandan fans love the Super Eagles and it’s disappointing they are out of the competition,” another fan added.
