Rivers United captain Nyima Nwagua remains bullish about his team's chances in the ongoing CAF Confederation Cup, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

The Port Harcourt outfit strengthened their bid for a spot in the tournament's knockout stage by securing a crucial 3-2 victory away against Academica do Lobito of Angola.

Holding firm in third place in Group C with nine points from five matches, the former Nigerian champions are eyeing a decisive showdown against Ghana's Dream FC.

With their final group clash looming in Uyo on Sunday, the Pride of Rivers are poised to seize the opportunity and advance to the quarter-finals. Nwagua expressed unwavering belief in his team's capabilities, asserting, "In football, anything can happen.

However, my teammates and I will do everything within our powers and abilities to go all the way to the finals of the competition," in the aftermath of their triumph in Luanda.
