Reading Boss Jaap Stam Claims His Players 'Know What to Do' Ahead of Fulham Revenge Mission

Reading manager Jaap Stam has revealed that his players know what they need to do if they are to exact vengeance on a Fulham side that thumped them at the beginning of the month.
"?

Speaking in an interview after the 3-1 Boxing Day victory over Norwich, documented by the "?club's official site, Stam was in a quietly confident mood ahead of his side's upcoming clash with the Cottagers.

He said: "We'll train on Tuesday with the players that didn't play today, and then we'll have a day off on Wednesday.

"?"On Thursday we'll do tactical work and look at the videos from Fulham "? we know how they like to play, although they might change a couple of things.
"?

"I think for the players that played over there and anyone that saw the result over there, you don't need to say anything "? you want to do better than you did over there and make it difficult for them, rather than them making it difficult for us."

Stam will feel his side are in a good place to banish memories of the 5-0 defeat to their London rivals in early December, having won the last five home games.
"?

Their recent purple patch has seen them climb to third in the Championship table, six points behind the automatic promotion places and second-placed Newcastle United.

The Royals boss added: "They want to play football as well, like we do. They made it very difficult for us over there, especially when Danny Williams got sent off, and you don't want to lose by a score like that. We need to improve from that and come back stronger from the game over there. Everybody knows what they need to do to get a result."?

If Reading are successful in their revenge mission, it could see them derail Fulham's bid to finish in the play-off places. The west-Londoners currently lie eighth, four points off sixth placed Sheffield Wednesday.
