Presidential Contestants declare readiness to be part of SWAN organised debate

Top contenders of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) presidential election have declared their willingness to be part of the debate organised by SWAN Abuja.

 

The Sports Writers Association of Nigeria, Abuja for the first time will be having a debate for the presidential candidates billed to hold for Thursday.

 

And aspirants such as NFF first vice president, Seyi Akiwunmi, Chief of Staff to the Minister of Youth and Sports Development and former chairman of Kano Pillars, Alhaji Abba Yola have revealed they will be in attendance.

 

Other aspiring candidates who have shown interest in the debate are former General Secretary of the NFF, Barrister Musa Amadu and the current CAF and FIFA Security Chief, Dr. Christian Emeruwa.

 

Besides, FCT Football Association chairman, Alhaji Adam Mouktar Mohammed also confirmed his presence.

 

Chairman of the FCT chapter of the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria, SWAN, Comrade Bunmi Haruna who confirmed their appearance said the debate is SWAN’s little contribution as a stakeholder in football development.

 

"The world has been yearning to meet the contestants. They kept asking questions about those who will be leading the Nigeria football house in the next four years and it is our duty to create the platform. It is our little way of contributing to the development of the beautiful game,” Bunmi said.

 

FCT SWAN organized Presidential Debate is slated for Thursday 22, September, 2022 at the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ Press Centre, Utako District and will be beamed live to the world.
