There are several rumors flying around Manchester City who are looking to sign Harry Kane. The Premier League champions should not insist on getting the Tottenham striker, but secure Arsenal's Pierre Emerick Aubameyang.
After the arrival of Jack Grealish with a cost around £100 million, Pep Guardiola still is searching for another striker. Besides, he already lost Sergio Aguero, who has already joined Barcelona.
Despite already having many options in the frontline by using several players such as: Raheem Sterling, Phil Foden, Ferran Torres, Riyad Mahrez, and Gabriel Jesus, Manchester City feels it's not enough.
Accidentally, the Citizen is interested in Harry Kane, who has already decided his future. The England International feels this a perfect time to leave Spurs after 12 years service.
However, the Arsenal legend, Charlie Nicholas doesn't agree with that scheme. He suggests The Premier League giant to rob Aubameyang from the London club.
"They could go for someone like Aubameyang. It looks like something is going wrong at Arsenal at the moment, and we do know Auba scored goals. He's got pace and got movement," he told Daily Star.
"I prefer him on the left, but I could see something like that materializing. It gives Manchester City a cheaper option. He's not good as Kane, but he's as good a finisher as Kane."
Instead of hoping to recruit Harry Kane, Manchester City looks like better to hunt Aubameyang. Like Nicholas said, they got an advantage after many disasters happened in Arsenal.
